Come celebrate Portsmouth Aikido’s 30th anniversary at our first ever seminar with William Gleason, 7th dan, Shihan.
Gleason Sensei has been studying aikido for over 50 years, including 10 years in Japan at Hombu Dojo and in close study with Seigo Yamaguchi Shihan. After returning to the United States, he founded Shobu Aikido of Boston under the guidance of Mitsugi Saotome Shihan, direct student of Morihei Ueshiba O-Sensei.
Gleason Sensei has written two books and is working on a third. His practice and teaching are dedicated to the study of kotodama and how to apply the principles of O-Sensei’s aikido on mat and in our daily lives.
Classes will run as follows:
Friday 5-7pm
Saturday 10am-12:30pm and 2:30-4:30pm, followed by dan tests and a party
